One (styled as ONE ) is a free-to-air multichannel digital television channel, launched by Network Ten on March 26, 2009. The channel originally focused on broadcasting sports Programming and event-based, but changed in April 2011 into more real, scripted and adventure-based programming aimed at males between the ages of 25 to 54. Due to the HD Ten re-broadcast on March 2, 2016, One is reduced to standard definition broadcasts.

This channel started broadcasting as One HD on March 26, 2009 at 7.00Ã,pm in Melbourne (due to live coverage of the Australian Football League) and at 7.30 pm in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Channels, owned by Network Ten, feature endless sports content including live sports, sports documentaries and sports-themed movies.
One was originally broadcast in high definition on digital channels 1 and 11 with a standard definition of simulcast on digital channel 12 known as One SD or One Digital . At launch, One replaced the previous Ten HD service and the standard definition of Ten HD simulcast called TenSD2. One HD began broadcasting on Ten Southern Cross television station owned and operated by Macquarie Media Group on digital channel 50 at 7:00 pm on July 2, 2009. Simulcast on digital channel 11 was then allocated to the Eleven multichannel digital definition ten standard on December 15, 2010 in preparation for its release on January 11, 2011. As a result, the channel's high definition broadcast was moved to channel 12, replacing the standard definition simulcast.
In 2011, the channel began to dilute its all-sport format to include an adventure-themed reality program such as Ice Road Truckers and Black Gold, and weekly or documentary films, usually , but not limited to, sports themes. In April 2011, it was revealed that the channel would switch to a broader public entertainment channel aimed at younger men, while still showing sports programs.
May 7, 2011 - present: Sports and entertainment format
Ascertained on April 4, 2011 that due to the unsupported overhead associated with running the station as an "all-sport" channel, One HD will begin airing a more common entertainment program alongside sports, especially events aimed at older male audiences as well will be renamed to One . The change is intended to create a larger competitor channel against 7mate, which has the same scope, and takes place on May 7, 2011.

Programming
This channel targets audiences, broadcasts programs from Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada, and the United States, and complements the existing programs at Ten. The channel-based program is an adventure-based script and program aimed at men between the ages of 25 and 54, mixed genres, including reality, lifestyle, drama, classic sitcoms from the 60s, 70s and 80s, comedies, live sports, and action movie.
One feature film also comes from studio-output offerings, including Regency Enterprises and Paramount Pictures along with Nine Networks.
As a result of the rise of Ten HD on March 2, 2016, One is reduced to standard definition.
On April 13, 2016, One switched from the Superteks logo to the Ten Network Closed Ring logo, when Ten did not continue the "CC" symbol since the mid-2000s.

On March 17, 2009, the Australian Swimming Championships were broadcast on Ten HD before the ONE launch on March 26, 2009 featuring Live in 2009 through 2015.
In 2010, Ten & amp; One Securing rights for both Delhi 2010 & amp; Glasgow 2014 also shared with Foxtel only 2010.
In October 2011, it was confirmed that the National Basketball League match would be postponed. This caused anger among Australian basketball fans, who descended on Facebook and Twitter's social networks, voicing their concerns. During the 2012-13 season, several matches on Friday night are shown live at One at 9.30 am. Sunday's game goes straight back to TEN at 2 pm.
In March 2012, sport is the secondary focus of One. Sports are only shown when clashing with Ten's regular program or as a HD simulcast when it airs on Ten. The Moto GP race airs ONLY ONE except for the Australian GP round which airs on Ten and ONE as HD simulcast. F1 qualification is displayed on ONE live while TEN replays later.
One Formula One Grand Prix broadcast each qualifying session is shown live with a half hour preview. Rights to be held until 2014, including IPTV rights from 2011 to 2014 and in 2015 onwards, Formula One features a 1-hour spotlight package at 9:30 pm Monday on First Day indirectly at Network Ten while continuing with a tenplay simulcast.
One Moto GP broadcast every race (qualify in spotlight only from 2014 onwards) from 2010 to 2014, then from 2015-2016. Moto2 and Moto3 and MotoGP will be shown on the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix round only at Ten.
One NASCAR show, between 2010 and 2014 live each Qualification Qualification and Competition (Marquee contest is shown live) and national series highlights, In 2011, each NASCAR Sprint Cup race will go straight.
A Supercar Championship show every Seven live races plus highlight packs of all races.
One show highlights for each Super Rugby round every Sunday morning and reruns of each Wallabies Test around noon, previously shown on TEN from The Rugby Championship and Spring Tour
One whole broadcast of KFC Big Bash League went straight to WA. Plus Bash League Big Rebel Women.

One is available in the 576i standard definition of five metropolitan stations owned and operated by the network, TEN Sydney, ATV Melbourne, TVQ Brisbane, ADS Adelaide, and NEW Perth and in the Australian region of the Southern Cross Austereo owned and operated station SGS/SCN at regional South Australia. WINS Television through owned and operated stations, VTVs in Regional Victoria, WINS in Southern New South Wales/Australian Capital Territory, NRN in Northern New South Wales, RTQ in Queensland Regional, STV (TV station) in Mildura, TVT in Tasmania, WOW in the Western Australia region, MGS/LRS in eastern South Australia, and AMN at Griffith and MIA, DTD in Darwin, and CDT in Central Australia (including NT distance, QLD and SA).
One is available for Foxtel cable subscribers via HD packages, and One SD is available on basic cable services when broadcast.
