The LaserJet 4000 series is a Hewlett-Packard intermediate-monochrome laser printer series and LaserJet 5 series successor.
The LaserJet 4000 series, like most of the Hewlett-Packard laser printer series, follows the standard nomenclature to showcase features that include the manufacturer.
- n = ready network
- t = twin/two (smaller in some models) paper tray
- d = duplex/double-sided printing
- s = stacker for the output tray
- l = stapler.
Further accessories can also be purchased if the desired function does not match the model purchased. For example, network cards, additional trays, and duplex units are the most common.
