Brenden Stephen Foster (Oct. 4, 1997 - November 21, 2008) is an 11-year-old boy from Bothell, Washington, diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2005. KOMO, a local broadcaster, reports the story Brenden's last wish on November 7, 2008, which fed the homeless. This story inspires many people, and encourages the attention of national media such as CNN and Associated Press, even attracting international attention.

The Brenden Foster Food Drive was created by a broadcasting station in his honor. In Seattle, volunteers from Emerald City Lights Bike Ride distributed over 200 sandwiches to the homeless. Inspired viewers take part in "Stuff the Truck" foodmakers in the honor of Brenden, filling seven truckloads of food and $ 95,000 in cash to benefit the Northwest Harvest and Food Lifeline.

Brenden's story also reaches the station KOMAT KATU (Portland, Oregon), which reports the actions inspired by Brenden in Los Angeles, California and Pensacola, Florida, among other places. At the Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles, for example, over 2,500 meals have been presented in the name of Brenden. Advocacy for homeless people stationed in tent cities continues to be remembered. A Vietnam War veteran from Kentucky who lost his leg in the war was deeply touched by his story, he gave Brenden his Ungunya Heart. More than 2,500 meals in the Union Rescue Mission have been presented in the name of Brenden.
