Summary

Ric Thibault, 16, opens a record of his mother's suicide attempt which only says: "While I died... feed the dog." He could not stop laughing when the paramedics took him away. While trying to fit into the world's prettiest girl pants, her crush, Nina Pennington, Thibault ends up behind the limo on the road to rock 'n' roll fame open to David Bowie. But on the way there he found a few things: some mafia dead, a nymphomaniac next to him, dying of Latin teachers, narcolepsy nuns, police, evil lawyers, comedian reporters, model evangelists and greedy relatives.

Movie adaptation

In July 2012, it was announced that the film adaptation of the book, Behaving Badly , will begin filming in Los Angeles. The film was released in the United States in August 2014, with a screenplay written by director Tim Garrick, starring Selena Gomez as Nina Pennington and Nat Wolff as Ric Thibault. Browde has publicly denied the film for opposing source material from his book.
